The correlation between the growth inhibitory effect of sFZD7 and cellular FZD7 and Wnt3 mRNA levels (Figure 3B) provide further support that sFZD7 is acting specifically via the FZD7-mediated Wnt/β-catenin signaling in HCC cells, and that it exerts preferential activity against HCC cells over-expressing FZD7 and Wnt3. This evidence concerns the gene FZD7 and hepatocellular carcinoma.
