Thus, our findings for the first time provide a potential mechanism for how PL converted from PLG by PLG activators is involved in initiation and/or worsening psoriasis by inducing the recruitment and activation of skin-homing pathogenic T cells or by directly activating keratinocytes in patients, suggesting that targeting PL receptor - annexin II - may harbor therapeutic possibility for the treatment of psoriasis. This evidence concerns the gene ANXA2 and psoriasis.
