The pathway analysis showed the involvement of the 10 candidate genes in cell cycle and DNA repair (BRCA1, P16 and P21), invasion and metastasis (CST6 and TIMP3), cell proliferation (ESR-b), signal transduction (APC, BIN1 and BMP6) and cell detoxification (GSTP1), and highlighted their role in breast carcinogenesis. This evidence concerns the gene CST6 and neoplasm.
