Immunofluorescence analyses of sections from xenografts harvested at week 10 after tumor cell transplantation (Figure 4) or sections of patient biopsies (Table S1, Figure S4) showed that tumors in situ have clusters of E/M cells (EpCAM+/vimentin+) as well as clusters of epithelial cells (E-cadherin+/Vimentin−) (Figure 4A).
