Our results are supported by the study by Guda et al (2009), in which it was concluded that ASE of TGFBR1 is unlikely to be the major driver of linkage in some colon neoplasia families to the 9q22.2–31.2 region, in which TGFBR1 is located, and that ASE is not associated with sporadic CRC (n=44). The gene discussed is TGFBR1; the disease is colorectal carcinoma.
