Both N-cadherin and cadherin-11 are overexpressed in osteoblasts (Marie, 2002; Mbalaviele et al, 2006) and prostate cancer cells (Tomita et al, 2000; Chu et al, 2008) and are considered to have an important role in bone metastasis of prostate cancer. This evidence concerns the gene CDH11 and prostate carcinoma.
