Promising results from several preclinical studies have clearly demonstrated the therapeutic potential of Nutlin-3a in a variety of tumour types expressing wild-type p53, including liposarcoma [118], rhabdomyosarcoma [119], osteosarcoma [117], synovial sarcoma [120], neuroblastoma [121], retinoblastoma [64], and leukemia [122–124]. The gene discussed is TP53; the disease is synovial sarcoma.
