In this study, higher concentrations of MBL inhibited LPS-induced DC maturation and the secretion of such proinflammatory cytokines as TNF-α and IL-12, indicating that MBL might be implicated in the anti-inflammatory effect and immunoregulation, reducing the incidence of shock and prevent endotoxemia-induced death. The gene discussed is MBL2; the disease is serum lipopolysaccharide activity.
