Our group recently reported that persistent reovirus infections could be established in oncogenic N-Ras human fibrosarcoma HT1080 cells and p53 mutated lymphoma cells, yielding persistently infected (PI) HTR1 (Kim et al, 2007) and Raji PI (Alain et al, 2006) cells, respectively. The gene discussed is TP53; the disease is Reoviridae infectious disease.
