At the median time of NHL symptom onset (5 weeks) after initiation of new HAART regimens, evaluable CD4 count and viral loads were either not obtained or lower due to chemotherapy for meaningful analysis in 3 of 5 NHL cases (Patients 1, 2, and 4); therefore, the implication that an IRIS possibly contributed to the early diagnosis of these malignancies is inferred primarily upon the virologic response kinetics in all cases by week 12. Here, CD4 is linked to non-Hodgkin lymphoma.
