We also found that Ugt2b, Cyp4a3, and sulfur metabolism-related CNV genes (Sult2a1, Sult2a2, and Sult2al1) overlapped the T2D QTLs of Niddm37, Niddm25 and Niddm44, respectively, strengthening the hypothesis that these genes may confer susceptibility to T2D.
