Using ELISA, Kotera et al. [28] demonstrated in 1994 that anti-MUC1 AAbs were present in the sera of 2/24 (8.3%) breast carcinoma, 2/12 (16.7%) pancreatic carcinoma, and 1/10 (10%) colon carcinoma patients. Here, MUC1 is linked to breast carcinoma.
