In the framework of a study aimed at further characterizing the state of responder, and at improving our knowledge and understanding of IFN therapy effects on patients with CHC, we undertook in-vitro and ex-vivo expression analyses of cellular miRNAs that had previously been reported as being involved in IFN-mediated antiviral activity against HCV [4], using real-time quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) assay. The gene discussed is IFNA1; the disease is cryohydrocytosis.
