Interestingly, the two AD cases (indicated by black asterisks) showing the highest levels of SNO-PTEN were also affected by cerebral infarcts (strokes); the two AD cases marked by red asterisks showed very low levels or complete loss of PTEN and low levels of Akt protein but relatively high levels of phosphorylated P-Akt.
