Although the role of Her2 in cervical cancer remains controversial, Her2 amplification has been reported in up to 14% of cervical carcinomas (Mitra et al, 1994), and increased Her2 expression can correlate with increased overall survival rates following both radiotherapy and chemo-RT (Lee et al, 2005; Yamashita et al, 2009). This evidence concerns the gene ERBB2 and cervical carcinoma.
