We found the best three single-gene discriminators for colon cancer are MMP7, DPT and MMP1 having 97.5%, 96.3% and 95.1% classification accuracy on the training set, and 97.9% and 90.9%, 97.9% and 74.6%, and 91.7% and 84.1% on the two test sets, respectively. This evidence concerns the gene DPT and colonic neoplasm.
