Given the controversies around the association of genetic factors with sepsis-associated outcomes because of the limited replicability of findings [15], [16], here we have examined the association of common variants of TLR1 gene with sepsis outcomes in a cohort of patients with severe sepsis admitted into a network of ICUs from Spain, in order to provide an independent replication of previous results. The gene discussed is TLR1; the disease is Sepsis.
