The results suggested that (i) lobaplatin could inhibit the proliferation of human HCC cells through arresting cell cycle progression in G1 and G2/M phases; (ii) The cell cycle arrest on human HCC cells induced by lobaplatin might be associated with the down-regulation of CDK1/cyclin B and Rb/E2F complexes and the up-regulation of CDK inhibitors. Here, CDK1 is linked to hepatocellular carcinoma.
