In this study, we described two mouse models with immunologically induced retinopathy associated with elevated recoverin antibodies; both models had attenuated scotopic and photopic ERGs, retinal thinning, accelerated C1q and C3 deposits in the retinas, enhanced expression of GFAP staining identifying a reactive gliosis, and infiltration of inflammatory cells, including macrophages and neutrophils. Here, GFAP is linked to retinal disorder.
