With respect to its prognostic role in CRC, literature data on the impact of KRAS mutations on outcome has been controversial, including in those with node-negative disease, for whom a discriminator would be most useful (Jimeno et al, 2009, and as reviewed by Anwar et al, 2004; Klump et al, 2004; Locker et al, 2006).
