HLA-DMA and infection: The genes encoding major histocompatability Class II proteins (HLA-DMB, HLA-DRA, HLA-DRB1, HLA-DMA) responsible for MHC Class II antigen presentation were down-regulated as were the genes expressing TAP2, a transporter protein and PSEM2 a component of the immunoproteosome involved in presentation of antigen by major histocompatability complex Class I suggesting Antigen Presentation via both the Class I and Class II pathways was affected during repeated truncated immunising infections.
