BCL6 and B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma: The human proto-oncogene BCL-6 encodes a BTB/POZ-zinc finger transcriptional repressor that was originally characterized as a regulator of B-lymphocyte development and growth and has been implicated in the pathogenesis of B cell lymphoma [28,29] and in cancers of many organs, including breast cancer [30,22-24].
