Since CKS1B over-expression and 1q21 gains have been observed in many other malignancies and it is well-documented that JAK/STAT3 and MEK/ERK/BCL2 signaling pathways play a crucial role in tumor cell survival, drug-resistance and cancer progression [30-38], our findings might have broad applications for cancer treatment. The gene discussed is CKS1B; the disease is cancer.
