Altogether, our experiments reveal a role for UNC93B1 on IL-12 production induced by Toxoplasma infection, as well as an unprecedented TLR-independent role for UNC93B1 on host cell control of T. gondii replication, which combined are of central importance for the in vivo resistance to infection with this intracellular protozoan parasite. This evidence concerns the gene UNC93B1 and infection.
