To begin to examine whether FABP5 and PPARβ/δ may play a role in prostate cancer cell growth, the expression levels of these genes were assessed in three prostate cancer cell lines, the benign PNT-2 cells, the mildly oncogenic 22Rv1 cells, and the highly malignant PC3M cells [24–27]. This evidence concerns the gene FABP5 and prostate carcinoma.
