VEGFA and erectile dysfunction: There is an ever-increasing number of cases in the literature describing the efficacy of bevacizumab for the treatment of macular edema due to BRVO.[2] Bevacizumab is an agent that inhibits the effects of all isoforms of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF).[3] As yet, to the authors’ knowledge, there are no reported cases of erectile dysfunction as a side effect of intravitreal bevacizumab.
