Among these genes, of particular interest, were CD44 (amplified at 11p13 and increased in PN-GBM), CDKN2C and CDC42 (both amplified in PN-GBM and deleted in PN-Oligo subtypes at 1p36), TGFB2, TNC, AURKA, and VEGFA, all amplified in PN-GBM, and SOX8 and Noggin (NOG) amplified in PN-Oligo samples. The gene discussed is CD44; the disease is glioblastoma.
