Interestingly, Anduril-based analysis of the two most frequently deleted genes at 9p21.3, MTAP and CDKN2A, shows that even though the gene deletion is an explanatory factor for lower expression of these genes in patients with deletion, in total GBM patient material the MTAP expression is not inhibited and CDKN2A is overexpressed compared to normal tissue (Additional file 4). The gene discussed is CDKN2A; the disease is glioblastoma.
