Figure 2A illustrates the time to esophagitis for patients with IL10:rs1800872 genotypes. Although not significant, patients with wild-type genotypes had median time to event of greater than 12 months contrasted with only 1.8 months for those with at least one variant of rs1800872. For survival (Figure 2B), there was a non-significant survival advantage of nearly four months for carriers with a median survival time of 16.1 months compared to only 12.4 months for patients with wild-type genotypes. This evidence concerns the gene IL10 and esophagitis.
