F16–IL2 has recently been shown to mediate an anticancer effect, which can be potentiated by coadministration of taxanes or adriamycins, leading to the initiation of two phase Ib clinical studies in patients with metastatic breast or ovarian cancer (F16–IL2+doxorubicin), or breast or lung cancer (F16–IL2+paclitaxel). This evidence concerns the gene IL2 and ovarian cancer.
