One compound identified by our group, named as FLLL32, has been shown to selectively inhibit STAT3 phosphorylation, STAT3 DNA binding activities, cell viability, and induce apoptosis in multiple myeloma, glioblastoma, colorectal and hepatocellular carcinoma cancer cells with constitutively activated STAT3 signaling. This evidence concerns the gene STAT3 and plasma cell myeloma.
