The involvement of CSE1L in the proliferation of cancer cells was also supported by a pathological study which reported that the expression of the Ki67 proliferation marker was significantly positively correlated with CSE1L in a study of malignant lymphomas; nevertheless, that study also showed that a significant fraction of CSE1L-positive malignant lymphocytes were Ki-67 negative [6]. This evidence concerns the gene MKI67 and cancer.
