Two well conducted meta-analyses of ACE-inhibitors in more than 19,000 patients [21]–[22] yielded similar reductions in heart failure mortality between men (OR 0.76, 95% CI 0.65–0.88) and women (OR 0.79, 95% CI 0.59–1.06) compared with placebo [22]. This evidence concerns the gene ACE and heart failure.
