IL13 and allergic asthma: Treatment with anti-IL-33 significantly reduces serum IgE secretion, the number of eosinophils and lymphocytes, and concentrations of IL-4, IL-5, and IL-13 in bronchioalveolar lavage fluid compared to administering a control antibody, which indicate that blocking IL-33 may be a new therapeutic strategy for allergic asthma [53].
