KRAS or EGFR were mutated in a substantial proportion of patients; but, in addition, several other genes not formerly associated to lung cancer were identified, and included tumour suppressors (NF1, RB, ATM, and APC), as well as tyrosine kinase genes (ERBB4, ephrin receptor genes, KDR, FGFR4, and NTRK). This evidence concerns the gene KRAS and lung cancer.
