We found that chronic exogenous GH affected the phosphorylation of several hepatic signalling molecules, including JAK2/STAT3 (STAT5), p38-MAPK, AMPK, ERK1/2 and PPAR-alpha, signalling molecules that are closely involved in the pathogenesis of NAFLD [26,39-42]. This evidence concerns the gene MAPK14 and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease.
