GH1 and inherited lipid metabolism disorder: Chronic exogenous GH markedly reduced the serum TC (p < 0.01), TG (p < 0.001) and LDL-C levels (p < 0.01) and increased, albeit not significantly, the HDL-C levels (p > 0.05) in the GH group compared with the CH group, indicating that exogenous GH levels reversed the dyslipidaemia induced by the high-fat diet (Table 2).
