Patients with and without lupus nephritis showed significantly higher levels of CD80 expression on IL17+ cells as compared to healthy controls (26.71 ± 15.85% and 26.90 ± 15.06% vs. 14.99 ± 5.74%, P = 0.04 and P = 0.02, respectively).There was no difference in the expression of CD80 on IL17+ cells between patients with and without lupus nephritis (26.71 ± 15.85% vs. 26.90 ± 15.06%, P = 0.85) (Figure 3c and 3d). Here, IL17A is linked to lupus nephritis.
