In relation to respiratory-relevant pathologies, there were three genes associated with lung related cardiovascular disorder that were all negatively correlated with smoking (FASLG, HMOX1, PRF1; p = 1.4 × 10-4) and nine genes involved in asthma (p = 5.9 × 10-4) including six negatively correlated with smoking (ADRB2, CX3CR1, GZMB, HMOX1, PTGDR and TNFRSF8) and three positively correlated (IGHE, NRG1 and PLA2G7). This evidence concerns the gene FASLG and cardiovascular disorder.
