Finally, we assessed the in vivo relevance of Sp1-mediated regulation of KCTD11 gene, performing ChIP-qPCR for Sp1, Sp3 and Acetyl-H3 on ARO cells (a thyroid cancer cell line, matching a tumor tissue sample in which KCTD11 is expressed; see Fig. 1) and HCT15 cells (a colon cancer cell line, matching a cancer type in which KCTD11 is inhibited; see Fig. 1). The gene discussed is SP1; the disease is colonic neoplasm.
