ASPSCR1 and neoplasm: Table 1 shows the top 20 ranked genes by rank sum analysis including a summary description of their function and the enrichment levels by each approach. A number of these targets are involved in cell cycle control (cyclin E2, BRCC3, PSMA4 and EID1[24]–[27]) and tumor progression (ASRGL1, CD147, MAPRE2 and ASPSCR1[28]–[31]), while three of the targets encode histone genes (LOC440093, H3F3B, HIST2H4A), indicating that miR-US25-1 targets functionally related genes.
