Our data demonstrate that as compared to naïve cells, chemoresistant ovarian cancer cells show increased RELA and STAT5-dependent transcriptional activation and protein-DNA binding at the Bcl-X promoter, supporting the view that carboplatin resistance in ovarian cancer cells is at least in part mediated by the NF-κB/STAT5-Bcl-xL axis. This evidence concerns the gene BCL2L1 and ovarian carcinoma.
