The DOK2-dependent phosphorylation of serine 112 of PPARγ has been implicated in the induction of obesity by a high fat diet [47]; however, the absence of an effect of the PPARγ (S112A) on adiposity does not suggest that this is important mechanism for regulation of ATE genes in mice with variable diet-induced obesity. Here, ATM is linked to obesity due to melanocortin 4 receptor deficiency.
