WIF1 and hepatocellular carcinoma: Hu et al [44] recently reported that the inhibition of tumor growth by adenoviral delivery of WIF1-human IgG1 Fc fragment fusion protein in hepatocellular carcinoma mouse xenograft models is associated with reduced microvessel density, decreased expression of vascular endothelial growth factor, decreased stromal cell-derived factor-1 and increased apoptosis.
