Ezrin was not detectable in normal pancreatic ducts and acini (Figure 7A); however, 64 PDAC samples were found to be ezrin positive (91.4%, 64/70) (Figure 7B-D, Table 2), suggesting that ezrin was overexpressed in human PDAC and that ezrin expression was likely associated with pancreatic cancer development. This evidence concerns the gene EZR and familial pancreatic carcinoma.
