LMTK2 and Familial prostate cancer: In this study, we suggest that the overall mRNA expression level and/or the relative balance of alternatively expressed isoforms of the LMTK2, MSMB and HNF1B genes may be important determinants in the developments of prostate cancer, and demonstrate the importance of alternative mRNA processing mechanisms such as alternative splicing or differential use of polyadenylation sites in gene regulation.
