CCNA2 and cancer: Here we found that 13 of the 349 miRNAs examined were aberrantly expressed in samples from the 2-mg/kg–treated animals, and two down-regulated miRNAs (rno-let-7e* and rno-miR-489) were consistent with the up- regulation of mRNA expression of their predicted target genes, Bcl10 and Ccna2. The let-7 family of miRNAs, which is functionally conserved from worms to humans, is important to normal development and differentiation and has been reported to be deregulated in various cancers (reviewed by Boyerinas et al. 2010).
