The mortality of breast carcinoma is decreasing because of recent developments in diagnostic techniques and therapies; however, the mortality of triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC), a subtype of breast cancer that is ER negative, PR negative, and HER2 negative, remains high (Sorlie et al, 2001, 2003; Rakha et al, 2006; Bauer et al, 2007). This evidence concerns the gene ERBB2 and triple-negative breast carcinoma.
