We found previously a close relationship between the ECP434(G>C) polymorphism and the expression of allergic symptoms such as asthma [8] whereas another group showed associations between the ECP c.-38(A>C) polymorphism and various symptoms of allergy and asthma and a relation to non-allergic asthma of the ECP434(G>C) polymorphism [7]. Here, RNASE3 is linked to allergic disease.
