The results showed that EEF1A2 protein was detected at background to low levels in biopsies from normal controls and five cases of MM but at high levels in 15% of primary MM (Figure 2D, 2E), This suggests that levels of EEF1A2 expression in primary MM tumor cells may be determined post-transcriptionally as well as translationally and clearly deserves further study. This evidence concerns the gene EEF1A2 and Miyoshi myopathy.
