SLE immature BM mDCs expressed higher levels of DC-SIGN (SLE versus controls = 26.110 ± 12.064 versus 11.179 ± 5.122; P < 0.05) and CD86 (SLE versus controls = 31.575 ± 14.177 versus 8.652 ± 1.667; P < 0.01) but lower levels of CD11c (SLE versus controls = 14.027 ± 4.169 versus 48.440 ± 19.606; P < 0.05), CD40 (SLE versus controls = 5.332 ± 2.052 versus 14.851 ± 3.756; P < 0.01) and HLA-DR (SLE versus controls = 37.833 ± 9.283 versus 56.862 ± 6.418; P < 0.01) (Figure 2d). Here, CD86 is linked to systemic lupus erythematosus.
